If you are disqualified, you will be notified and given a link to this page. You may reapply for a Time Keeper award after a period of two months has elapsed. Time Keeper applications will be accepted from the 1st. of each month through the 15th. Any applications to our program dated after the 15th. of the month will be disqualified. We ask that webmasters who post via words, graphic or badge that the site and/or page validate or meets any requirements to display said words, graphic or badge, please check to make sure the requirements are met. While we do not require a site to validate, we will have to disqualify any site that does not meet the standards needed to post these types of items.

To comply with C.O.P.P.A., we ask that Webmasters be at least 13 years old to apply for our award. Those Webmasters that are not at least 13 years old will only require the written permission of a parent or guardian to apply. In order to make sure that the right person gets rewarded for his or her work, we ask the person applying be the webmaster/mistress of the site that the application is for. The Time Keeper Award Program is open to a wide variety of sites. We welcome commercial, personal and stand alone award program sites whole-heartedly to apply for our award. While we would like to be able to evaluate all types of sites, do to the nature of the following sites, we are unable to  evaluate forum, chat, blog, link, gaming and/or group sites and any sites with animated backgrounds.

The Time Keeper Award Program is concerned with the protection of children on the Internet and does not evaluate any sites that would be harmful for them to view. In our continuing effort to promote a Family Safe Internet we ask that profanity, violence and/or nude images or links to these obviously are not to be found on your site.

In an effort to promote fairness among all award programs. We ask that any sites applying for our award containing their own award programs which exclude stand alone award programs from applying for their award afford stand alone award programs the same courtesy of being evaluated by them.

A well built site should have all the following items put into the designing of it. The items listed below are all required to be incorporated into any applicant's site to apply for our award. Does your site contain all the following items?

I love to visit other sites with the expectation of learning something from them, unfortunately, I can only read English. In order for me to enjoy your site to the fullest, please make sure your site is in English or has an English translation and consists of at least ten ( 10 ) pages of content. * Please Note: We do not count link pages, awards won pages and/or forums as original content.

Since the privacy of children is a prime concern to all of us, we would like to see the rules of C.O.P.P.A. abided by. We ask that you provide a C.O.P.P.A. statement on site, if your site would be of any interest to children. * Please Note: Requirement for USA based sites only, if the site would be of interest to children.

The rapidly growing problem of identity theft is of great concern to all of us. We believe all visitors to a site should be informed how their personal information, submitted on the site, is handled. We would like to see a Privacy Statement that clearly informs visitors what information will be held confidential and what information will be viewed by the general public. * Please Note: If you have a forum, contact page or any other area that asks any personal information you should have a Privacy Statement on your site.

We take a considerable amount of time evaluating a site, giving our award to those who have worked hard to achieve it. We would like to see our award displayed in a separate area, clearly shown and linked, where only awards received are displayed. * Please Note: Awards won should be displayed at their original sizes in their own area. ( No altered or resized awards please. )

We like to see credit given to the people deserving it. We ask that you provide a Copyright Statement pertaining to all work and graphics done by you and/or credit given to the creator, who has given you their permission to use their work. * Please Note: If the graphics used are not your own, and you have no idea who made them, it is not a good idea to use them on your site. * Statements similar to: Found on free graphic site or taken from the web will not be accepted as being valid copyright information or permission.

Labeling sites with ICRA and/or SafeSurf is a practice many of us find very important. Labeling our sites show consideration for our visitors and their viewing safety. We ask that your site be labeled by one ( 1 ) or both of these programs.

Award seekers applying for our Time Keeper Award Of Excellence should read our criteria and include the password " Time " in the space provided in our application form.

Current standards like to see "up to top" links on long pages, which gives the site visitors a way to quickly return to the top of the page that is being viewed. And so do we. * Please Note: ( Examples ) Text Form:  Up To Top   Graphically:

Current standards like to see "Internal" links that open into the same window and "External" links that open into a new window. Good site designers use "Alt" tags for the images used on their sites which describe the images they are used for. * Please Note: Backgrounds and flash are not included in this requirement. * Example of an Alt Tag: alt="Photo of my dog Spot" width: 140 Pixels height: 93 Pixels. Tell us what the image is. If the image is a photo of Spot then the alt tag should state that it is a photo of your dog Spot.

It is frustrating to a viewer, who has expectations of viewing a fully done page, to be faced with an empty page. We ask that you have no "Under Construction or Coming Soon" pages on your site. * Please Note: When you apply for awards your site should look as complete as possible. You should not link or add unfinished pages to your site until they are done.

Good site designers, who use music on their sites, realize that not all of their visitors will like their particular choice of the music or prefer no music at all and, being considerate of others, will provide them with a means to shut off the music.

Animations load slowly and may cause problems for some visitor's welfare. We ask that you use animations sparingly, using no more than three ( 3 ) on any given page. We also ask that  floaters not be present as they can be a distraction and a frustration to some visitors. * Please Note: Link badges are not included in this requirement.

Good site designers make sure their pages load as fast as possible and will not crash a visitor's computer. * Please Note: We can not evaluate a site we can not view.

The use of site maps aid visitor's navigational needs. We ask that you have one available on your site.
